Note:These pages make extensive use of the latest XHTML and CSS Standards. They ought to look great in any standards-compliant modern browser. Unfortunately, they will probably look horrible in older browsers, like Netscape 4.x and IE 4.x. Moreover, many posts use MathML, which is, currently only supported in Mozilla. My best suggestion (and you will thank me when surfing an ever-increasing number of sites on the web which have been crafted to use the new standards) is to upgrade to the latest version of your browser. If that's not possible, consider moving to the Standards-compliant and open-source Mozilla browser.

The Blog of Fun

Posted by David Corfield

The ‘field with one element’ has been honoured by a great accolade. As announced here, it has been awarded a blog all to itself. Not bad for an entity with dubious existence credentials. Posted at October 5, 2008 6:50 PM UTC

David,
thanks for the link(s)! as to the ‘dubious’ part, did you read John Baez’ quote?

Yes. I didn’t mean to give the impression that I’m not a believer in the field.

By the way, it’s ‘Noah Snyder’ rather than ‘Noah Snider’.

Also, Gavin Wraith’s last name has been misspelled as “Wraight”.

The name “Wraith” is more fun, since it means “phantom”, and you’re quoting Gavin Wraith talking about mathematical phantoms!
