Note:These pages make extensive use of the latest XHTML and CSS Standards. They ought to look great in any standards-compliant modern browser. Unfortunately, they will probably look horrible in older browsers, like Netscape 4.x and IE 4.x. Moreover, many posts use MathML, which is, currently only supported in Mozilla. My best suggestion (and you will thank me when surfing an ever-increasing number of sites on the web which have been crafted to use the new standards) is to upgrade to the latest version of your browser. If that's not possible, consider moving to the Standards-compliant and open-source Mozilla browser.

Fourth Categories, Logic and Physics Workshop

Posted by David Corfield

Sharpen your brain after the New Year break at the fourth workshop on Categories, Logic and Physics, held at Imperial College on Wednesday, 7th January 2009, 11:00 - 19:00, Lecture Theatre 2, Blackett Laboratory.

The focus will “mainly be on n-categories and related fields”.

The six invited speakers are:

  • Eugenia Cheng
  • Tom Leinster
  • Ieke Moerdijk
  • Eric Paquette
  • Marni Dee Sheppeard
  • Isar Stubbe

Now I live down South, I’ll certainly be attending.

The videos of the previous one are now available at the website, as well as videos of talks at some other related events. Credits for this go to Jamie.

I’m so looking forward to this! It has been hard to keep up with progress in category theory whilst waitressing.
